The 18th Blue Danube Symposium on Heterocyclic Chemistry (BDSHC 2019) will take place at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology (FKKT), member of the University of Ljubljana (UL). FKKT is located on the western outskirts of the city of Ljubljana, approximately 5 km from the city center in the vicinity of the Ljubljana ZOO, at Večna pot 113, 1000 Ljubljana.
University of Ljubljana was founded in 1919 and is the oldest and largest higher education and scientific research institution in Slovenia. It encompasses 23 faculties and 3 art academies and has more than 40,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and approximately 5,600 employees. FKKT has relocated from the city center to the current location (Večna pot 113, 1000 Ljubljana) in 2014 together with the Faculty of Computer and Information Science in the project co-funded by the European Union.
Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia, is a small, but vibrant and modern Central European city.
